1StaffAnimal Care Assistant
Sanctuary One is hiring a part time animal care assistant. This 30 hour part time position will be responsible for assisting with Sanctuary One core animal-care operations, and with a variety of programs. This position performs daily animal feeding and movement operations (“chores”), as well as other animal-care duties as needed: administration of medications, grooming, wound care, cleaning of habitats, etc.
This shift is for closing shifts Thursday through Sunday 10:30am-6:30pm (with half an hour lunch), a total of 30 hours a week. $17 an hour to start, increase possible after 90 day probationary period.

We’re looking for a few talented and conscientious volunteer board members dedicated to the success of Sanctuary One’s Animal, Earth and People Care programs. If you’re inspired to contribute your time, thoughtfulness and leadership for a few hours a week, please email a letter of interest to info@sanctuaryone.org telling us why you’d be a good match for the Sanctuary One Board of Directors. Applications will be accepted on a continuing basis throughout the year. We are especially looking for individuals with nonprofit board and/or strategic planning experience, enthusiasm for care farming and those passionate about our mission to provide a refuge for animals and a healing place for people while promoting environmental stewardship.
