Show Them the Love

Who is YOUR best friend?

Dogs? Cats?

We invite businesses to join us May 11- June 1 in showering our cats and dogs with love by donating food.

Show your love by teaming up (or dividing) your office mates as cat lovers and dog lovers for a pet food drive to determine which furry friend wins the title of “Best Friend.”

Love cats more? Donate Friskies pate!

Love dogs more? Donate Kirkland brand, Nature’s Recipe, or American Journey dry dog food!

The winning office/team will celebrate their efforts with:

 Grand Prize:

  • VIP business use of Sanctuary One farm for staff development and/or team building event in 2020, includes tour
  • 10 individual Sanctuary One tour passes for July through October
  • Naming rights for the next Sanctuary One dog or cat who joins the farm
  • An office visit from one of our farm animal friends or Sanctuary One alum
  • Featured on all social media and e-newsletter

Runner up:

  • 5 Sanctuary One tour passes for July through October
  • Featured on all social media and e-newsletter

How does it work?

Each week Sanctuary One will contact all participating businesses to collect a running tab on who is triumphing – cats or dogs. All businesses will be featured in our weekly update on our website and social media channels.

Tallies will be measured by ounces of canned cat food (Friskies pate cans) and dog dry food pounds (Kirkland brand, Nature’s Recipe, or American Journey dry dog food). Each week Sanctuary One will ask for an update on the amount raised by each participating business.

On June 1, Sanctuary One will calculate the final tally and announce the winner and runner up.

While delivery of the donations is welcome after June 1, Sanctuary One can work with each business on possible pick up with our own staff and volunteers during that week.

Want to go the extra mile?

Share ways you support your best friends. Share weekly tips and tricks or something in your social postings (along with hashtags so Sanctuary One can repost!).

Consider providing a special offer to any clients participating or bringing food into your business.

Share photo of your team with their best furry friend and event hashtags on your social media.

Here is a photo our intern Oliven took while some of our field trip 3rd graders from Mae Richardson Elementary were visiting the Healing & Learning Garden. In the photo, we just finished talking about the vegetable garden and the native pollinator plants and were headed to the shade to talk about what reciprocity means to the Earth Care program's unique kind of community garden. Community members like volunteers and service learning groups grow food in the garden, which is in turn donated to food pantries. Community supporting community. Similarly, we also give some of the harvest to our animals who so generously gift us with their fertility-growing manure. To schedule a field trip, click this link: sanctuaryone.org/field-trips/ ...
