Sanctuary One: A Welcoming and Healing Space for All People

We envision a world where we live and practice the idea that people, animals, and the earth are better together. Part of that vision is to ensure Sanctuary One is open and inclusive to all people. Every animal and person deserve to find a welcoming and healing space at Sanctuary One. We hope that visitors of the farm not only connect to our animal friends and the earth, but that they feel their intrinsic value within our community.

Through our myriad of partnerships we strive to strengthen our connections and serve as a resource to our community. In 2017, we began a partnership with ACCESS and began our first fresh produce donation. For several years we have worked, through our service learning program, with multiple local agencies and non-profits to ensure that local community members are able to visit the farm and find value in caring for others. Maslow Project, an agency that helps youth experiencing homelessness, is one local nonprofit we’ve partnered with for a few years. Throughout the summer break youth come and give back to the community by helping our animals and garden. One local service learning student tells us that in “going to Sanctuary One and helping animals that have nobody else to take care of them, it makes you feel like you were born to make a change.

We are excited to highlight two Martin Luther King Jr. events in our community that will benefit two of our partner organizations, Maslow Project and ACCESS. We are proud to highlight these events, not only because of our belief that everyone has value and our farm is a place for all, but to support our community partners who strive to ensure a better today and tomorrow for our Rogue Valley community.

Meet Bandit!Hi there, my name is Bandit!!I am a young adult dog looking for a loving home. I am a male dog with a lot of different qualities. I am very athletic and enjoy going on runs or hikes with my humans. I'm also affectionate and love to cuddle up with my favorite people on the couch.I am loyal to those who take care of me and am always watching out for them when I sense danger, which makes me a brave companion. I love to play but I'm also content with relaxing at home.I am dog-friendly with proper introductions. If you are looking for a brave and loving companion, I am the one for you! I can't wait to find my forever home and I hope to meet you soon!Put in your Adoption Application here:sanctuaryone.org/rescue-animals/adopt-us/adoption-application/ ... See MoreSee Less
