Farm Tours

We offer three types of tours: Public Tours, Expanded Accessibility Tours and Private Tours. Our Visitor Rules and Tips (below) apply to all tours. All guests at the care farm are required to sign our liability form (English and Spanish). You may bring a signed copy or sign one when you arrive.

1 Public Tours

Sanctuary One tours offer a guided, behind-the-scenes experience of this unique care farm, where visitors can connect with rescued animals, explore peaceful garden spaces, and learn about the organization’s mission of compassion, sustainability, and community wellness. Each tour provides an opportunity to meet the animals, hear their stories, and see firsthand how Sanctuary One integrates animal rescue, therapeutic programs, and sustainable agriculture to create a place of healing for both people and animals. Please wear farm-sensible shoes and bring water if you would like.

Please note: the tour route includes uneven, natural terrain such as gravel paths, dirt trails, and gentle slopes. At this time, a golf cart is not available for guest use. We recommend guests plan accordingly for a walking tour experience and reach out in advance with any accessibility questions.

Reservations are required and can be made online. The available tour dates are below for booking.

*Please note that if you need to cancel your original tour date you are able to reschedule your tour at no additional charge. Admission fees cannot be refunded, but can be utilized for your next visit or turned into a donation.

2 Expanded Accessibility Tours

To serve more diverse communities in our valley, we offer Expanded Accessibility Tours for groups that require extra attention and care. Groups are limited to 12 attendees total, and each tour is modified to the capabilities of the group.

3 Private Tours

Here’s your chance to have a private tour with one of our knowledgeable managers, who will tell you all about the history of Sanctuary One and care farming. You’ll experience all the same sights and sounds as our public tours, but on a more personal level; enjoying all the animal stories, spending time in our permaculture-inspired gardens, walking the labyrinth or strolling down to Mule Creek.

Private tours must be scheduled in advance. The fee for a private tour is $250 for up to 10 people.

Please call 541-899-8627 or send us an email for more information or to schedule a tour.

4Visitor Rules

  • No personal pets allowed.
  • Please do not feed the animals. It is also important that you do not carry any food, including gum or candy, in your pockets or purse.
  • Do not approach the animals without first checking with staff. Many of our animals come from situations of abuse and neglect and must be handled with care.
  • The Sanctuary is a vegetarian facility. If you bring a snack with you, please make sure it’s meat-free.
  • Closed-toed shoes required, no sandals or flip-flops.
  • Smoking and alcohol are not permitted anywhere on the Sanctuary premises.
  • Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

5Tips for Visitors

  • If you have special needs and are unable to traverse rough terrain, please call in advance. The Sanctuary wants to make sure everyone has a positive experience and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • Bring a refillable water bottle.
  • Be on the lookout for snakes, bees, spiders and other natural wildlife.
  • There is no cell phone service at the Sanctuary. Be sure to print directions prior to your departure.

Please remember that many of our animals are recovering from abuse or neglect. Our policies are designed to protect visitors and animal residents alike.
